MSDS, or material safety data sheets, contain facts about potential hazards of chemical products used by the Department of Building Care. The sheets explain to our employees and to emergency personnel the best way to use, store and handle the product, but more importantly, how to work safely with the product. All products used by the Department of Building Care are reviewed by Cornell University's Environmental Health and Safety.
The information contained on the MSDS, applies to people who are exposed to these products for a prolonged period of time and are not highly pertinent to a visitor to the university or to a person with occasional exposure to the product.
